Welcome Five New Members to Team Blount
We are pleased to announce staff appointments in our Sales & Marketing, Customer Service operations and Human Resources. Named to the Sales & Marketing team were Tim Healy as national sales manager-West Coast, Ann Green as senior brand manager, and Lindsey Houle as marketing coordinator. Also joining the company is Bernadette Hawes as a customer service supervisor, and Kenrda Strangis as Talent Acquisition Specialist.
Timothy Healy brings more than 30 years of foodservice success as a chef, restaurant general manager, food broker and sales manager. He comes to Blount from Joseph’s Pasta Company in Haverhill, Mass., where he had been foodservice sales manager since 2005. Healy studied at the prestigious Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management at the University of Denver. He will work out of Blount’s regional sales office in Edina, Minn.
Ann Green comes to Blount as a seasoned and accomplished category, product and marketing manager, having worked with ubiquitous consumer packaged goods brands like Pillsbury, Nestlé, Coors and most recently Keurig. At Keurig, she developed and launched the company’s Shopper Marketing discipline to build insights-based marketing and merchandising initiatives. At Blount she will be responsible for management of the company’s retail brands. Green holds a B.A. in Economics from Tufts University, and an MBA in Marketing from Northeastern University. Today, she lives in Hopedale, Mass.
Lindsey Houle lands at Blount as a young design talent, possessing a graphic design portfolio packed with corporate identities, logos, ads and web design work, all of which were completed as a college intern. With the opportunity to join Blount full-time as a marketing coordinator too good to pass up, Lindsey is completing her last semester at Bridgewater State University during the evening. The New Bedford, Mass., native will earn a management degree with a minor in public relations this coming May.
Bernadette R. “Bernie” Hawes joins Blount with more than 25 years of experience in customer service in the technology and electronics industries. She joins Blount from Astro-Nova, Inc., in West Warwick, R.I., where she was a customer service supervisor, a position to which she was promoted in 1999. Hawes holds a B.A. in English with a minor in Portuguese from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. She resides in Barrington, R.I.
Kendra Strangis comes to Blount after spending her entire career within the HR ranks at YMCA Southcoast in New Bedford, MA., where she began as an HR Assistant before being promoted to Specialist in 2005. She took over as Director of Human Resources in 2007, overseeing more than 500 associates across the association’s seven facilities. Strangis was past chairperson of the YMCA Northeast Human Resources Network. A resident of New Bedford, Mass., Strangis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, with a concentration in Human Resources from Bridgewater State University.
Strangis joins a Human Resources team headed by 17-year Blount veteran Ronnie King, Senior Director of Human Resources. Kendra will work out of Blount’s headquarters in Fall River, Mass. and report to Human Resource Manager Valerie Ball, who heads Blount’s recruitment program.
