  1. To nominate a potential employee, please complete this form and return it, along with a 500 word statement explaining why you are nominating this employee, to the Human Resources department. Please include leadership characteristics they possess along with your any examples of their proven leadership.
  2. To be considered, an employee must have been employed by Blount for a minimum of two (2) years and have a minimum of 5 years of business experience.
  3. Your candidate will be notifi ed of the nomination and will then be required to submit an application to the program.
  4. If the candidate you refer is admitted to the program, you will be notified of their acceptance

Blount’s Leadership Development Program is designed to accelerate your development as a professional and as a potential future leader in the company. Over the course of two years, you will receive 8 job shadowing experiences/assignments in a variety of departments within Blount. While you will remain in your current role, your LDP focus will change each quarter. Each experience is focused on a different aspect of the business, which provides a solid and broad base of skills and experiences to broaden your business acumen. The training provides content relevant to your development as a professional and as a potential leader. Throughout these experiences, you will have numerous opportunities to engage with Senior Leaders, as well as network with your peers.

The Leadership Development Program aims to cultivate mid-career, high-performing professionals by expanding their business acumen, increasing their self-awareness, and developing their leadership goals to position them to lead effective change and promote innovation within Blount.
